I painted this as a tribute to our beloved Gulf of Mexico. Hurricane Katrina was horrible and the BP Oil Spill was worse, but the incredible animals always seem to be able to come back. At least, I hope they always will come back.

Sherry Dole's light-hearted, whimsical style illustrates her great loves of nature, animals and the environment. Although she has been a passionately creative person all of her life, Sherry actually had no real formal training. She pursued a career as a corporate fashion buyer for years until she was sufficiently fed up with the "corporate" part of the deal.
