Late one evening, Ruby PitBull and I were walking on the beach. We almost stumbled over this fellow in the darkness. He didn't have much to say, but I didn't like the way he was looking at Ruby Pitbull so we scooted rather quickly away. I didn't have time to take his photo for a portrait so I had to paint him from memory.

Sherry Dole's light-hearted, whimsical style illustrates her great loves of nature, animals and the environment. Although she has been a passionately creative person all of her life, Sherry actually had no real formal training. She pursued a career as a corporate fashion buyer for years until she was sufficiently fed up with the "corporate" part of the deal. Embarking on a career as a professional artist in South Mississippi can be a bit daunting and Sherry had her family of 2 dogs and 4 cats to feed so she found herself accepting all sorts of art jobs-from hand painting clothing to designing logos to creating event posters.
