Description
Lady Isabella is an important member of King Rabbit's Court. I was only able to make an appointment with her to pose for this portrait because she had just purchased the lovely gown she is wearing. She loves it so much, she wanted it preserved for posterity in a painting.

Hi again Sherry, I just saw your reply. That's very interesting: Having the title first and then creating the image. I usually work from the opposite direction...often almost letting the image create itself and then thinking of an appropriate title! In the end that rose was a perfect solution for "Fishing"! : ) BTW...I love the back-story for this one...it's wonderful you were able to get our fair Lady to agree to pose! hahaha

Thanks ever so much for the lovely comments, Jephyr! Sometimes I think of the title first & its a challenge to come up with the ideas for the image. On "Fishing for Compliments" I had the entire image drawn except for what was going to be on the end of the fishing line...totally NOT my style to drown a poor ole worm...so I had to come up with something cuz I really loved the drawing! After a lot of thought I came up with the rose and TaDa!...We have "Fishing for Compliments".

Hi Sherry! I love your bright, fun and fanciful images and the humor found in so many of them! Your titles for them are an added bonus! I looked through many and loved "Fishing For Compliments", "Water Hazard", "Housework Makes You Ugly" : ), "Cat Circus" and many more! And of course our fair and elegant Lady Isabella Rabbit.
